Blunt sepals and a paler blue violet colour differentiate this violet from others. Grows in open scrub.

Flowers

Flowers are not fragrant, 5 petals, 2 up and 3 down. The middle petal of the lower flower is wider with a rear, small upturned spur. The 2 lateral petals are bearded.
