Description

The most common Verbascum in the region with robust stems and slightly curved branches, like a candelabra.

Wrapping Verbascum sinuatum around a stick then moving it through water, results in fish jumping out of the water, becoming an easy catch; it is poisonous to fish.

Flowers

The numerous 5-petalled flowers are bright yellow with purple hairy filaments.

Leaves

Elliptic oval leaf, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Basal rosette: oval, long, pointed, woolly, undulated margins.
