Short hairy plant. Grows in sunny dry positions, old olive fields.

Flowers

Each whitish-pink flower, 4-12 mm, is almost hidden by the long, narrow sepals. The calyx has densely white-hairy, reddish, star-shaped spreading lobes, hence the name ‘Star Clover’.

Leaves

Trifoliate with three leaflets. Three leaflets, heart-shaped, slightly serrated at apex.

Fruits Seeds

Pod: tiny pods containing one seed inside the calyx.
