Description
A Mediterranean Sorbus.
Flowers
Flowers are borne in corymbs (10-14 cm), each flower has 5 petals and 20 creamy stamens.
Leaves
Pinnate row of leaflets on either side of the stem. 11-21 leaflets on either side of the stem, each leaflet, 3-7 cm long, is serrated.
Fruits Seeds
Drupe: outer fleshy parts surround a pit with a seed inside, astringent, 15-30 mm.
Edible
Fruits when almost rotten; used to make a type of cider.
