Description

Also known as Salvia clandestina or Salvia multifida. A very variable sage. Roadsides, olive groves, grassy areas. Flowering most of the year, but mainly January to May.

Flowers

The flowers, pale blue, violet or lilac are borne in lax, dense whorls, in the form of a spike.

Leaves

Elliptic oval leaf, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Oval to long, pointed, with wavy, serrated margins, opposite on the stem.

Fruits Seeds

Nut: 4 small nuts, enclosed within the calyx.
