Lobed leaf shaped with indents and protrusions, Trifoliate with three leaflets. Lower: divided into 3 lobes and toothed, often shiny, the central lobe larger, 3-lobed.
Upper: divided into 3 leaflets.

Achene: a round cluster of 1-seeded fruit, up to 35 seeds in the cluster.
