Male and female flowers appear at the same time as the leaves. The reddish female flowers are borne in a round cluster, 1 cm. The male flowers fall after shedding their pollen.

Leaves

Palmate leaf has lobes radiating from a base point. Long stalked, large with 3-5 lobes, rarely 7, central lobe as long as it is wide, 12-25 cm.

Fruits Seeds

Achene: a round cluster of 1 seeded fruit, 2.5-4 cm.
