Description

A prostrate plant of dry hill slopes and fallow, waste land. It is biennial or perennial, sometimes annual.

Flowers

The flowers, yellowish-brown with pale yellow anthers, are borne on curved spikes; stalks are longer than the leaves.

Pinnatisect leaf is deeply lobed, almost to the central midrib. Basal rosette of leaves in single or more layers, deeply lobed almost to the central midrib, downy.
