Description

Native to South America. A vigorous, deciduous or semi-evergreen climbing vine, using tendrils to climb.

Flowers

The fragrant flowers are striking and complex. They have 5 petals and 5 sepals, both petals and sepals are white and similar in appearance. They are surmounted by a corona of 5 greenish-yellow stamens with blue or violet filaments and 3 purple stigmas.

Leaves

Digitate leaflets are finger-like. Divided into 5 finger-like lobes, 10-18 cm.

Fruits Seeds

Berry: oval in shape 6 x 4 cm, orange in colour, containing numerous seeds.

Fruit: slightly tart.
