One of the few yellow-flowering orchids.

A tuberous perennial with enlarged underground structures for storage of nutrients.

Flowers

The light yellow flower spike is lax with 5 – 20 flowers. The lateral sepals are held vertically upwards. The lip is 3-lobed, with a raised central lobe with red or orange spots and a split middle lobe. The spur is long, curved upwards and wider towards the tip.

Leaves

Elliptic oval leaf, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Basal leaves oval to long, pointed and spotted, 8 cm.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: tiny seeds.
