It appears similar to Orobanche, but Bird’s-nest Orchid has 6 petals, whereas Orobanche has 5.

Flowers

Flowers numerous, yellowish-brown, fragrant, in a spike. Sepals and petals are similar. The lip is deeply divided at the tip and spreading outwards, no spurs.

Leaves

Scales leaves resemble green scales e.g. Cupressus, Juniperus. Scale-like, overlapping.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: egg-shaped.
