Neotinia maculata non maculata is a tuberous perennial, very similar to Neotinea maculata except that the leaves bear no spots.

Tubers are underground enlarged structures used as storage organs for nutrients.

Garrigue, rocky places, road verges, mainly on calcareous soils.
