Description
A tall, sprawling, hairy plant, flowering continuously for several months into early autumn.
Dry habitats, in thickets along paths and in waste places.

Flowers pink to lilac, with a dark purple base and purple stamens.
Leaves
Digitate leaflets are finger-like. Hand-like, lobed or serrated leaflets joined to a single stem.
Fruits Seeds
Schizocarp: a disc of dry fruit that splits into single seeded parts when ripe.
Edible
Leaves and flowers.
Medical
Leaves: traditionally used as a mouthwash to relieve irritation of the mucous membranes, also for catarrh.
