Description
The name derives from Greek, ‘Lykos’ meaning ‘wolf’ and ‘pous’ meaning ‘foot’. The stem is hairy, the young rolled up leaves are purple, with maturity they unfold and become green. Damp habitat.

A whorl of tiny, purple specked white flowers grow from the leaf axil.

Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Long, wider in the middle, pointed, evenly serrated and hairy, spiralling on the stems.
