This plant grows on the coast as well as inland, on sandy beaches or dunes, on fields, walls, slopes and wasteland, preferably on calcareous soils.

Flowers

The fragrant flowers are borne in dense clusters.

Leaves

Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Long, pointed, alternate on the stems.

Capsule: oval, 3 mm long.
