Description
A hairy erect perennial. A forest dweller.
Flowers
The funnel-shaped flowers in bud are a deep reddish-pink, when fully opened they turn a deep blue.
Leaves
Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Long, pointed, showy midrib, dark green.
Fruits Seeds
Achene: 4 small, shiny, white nutlets that do not open to release seeds.
