Description

A hairless, smooth perennial. Before flowering, the basal rosette of deep-green leaves stand out among the surrounding vegetation. As the flower stalk emerges, the leaves turn yellow and wither.

On rocky, acid soils.

The yellow flowers are borne on a stout stalk in umbels of 10-20 rays.
