Description
A very small Iris, flowering before the taller Irises. A rhizomatous perennial.
Drifts of these irises cover the stony hillsides in spring, with a wonderful clarity of colour and form.
Flowers
Flowers are yellow, violet or two-toned, less often white, with a yellow or white beard along the centre of the falls.
Leaves
Linear narrow blade leaf, like grass. Sword-shaped, 30 cm long.
Fruits Seeds
