Description

One of the tallest Orchids. The name in France ‘Orchis bouc’ refers to the goat-like smell of the orchid to attract insects.

Flowers

The sepals and petals form a small hood above the lip. It has a very small spur and just above the spur is a long bract. The lip is speckled with purple or pink, twisted, long and ribbon-like.

Elliptic oval leaf. Oval to oblong, withered by flowering time.
