Description
Native to south-east Asia. Used as an ornamental shrub in gardens.
The plant prefers, acidic, moist, well-drained soil.
Flowers
The flowers have 7-9 petals fused together, with a deep purple centre. In different colours, pink, lilac or white.
Leaves
Deltate triangular leaf with stem on one side. Diamond-shaped, with lobes, short stalks.
Fruits Seeds
Capsule: 20-25 mm.
