Description

A loose, spreading, much-branched low shrub, covered in fine white hairs. The stems are either prostrate or ascending. Grows in grassy, sunny areas, olive fields, roadsides.

Flowers

The 5-petalled flowers are white with yellow centres and yellow stamens, 3-10 flowers on each stem, with 3 large and 2 small sepals.

Leaves

Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle, Linear narrow blade leaf, like grass. Narrow, rolled under margins, hairy with 2 narrow appendages (stipules) at the base of the leaf stalk.
