A common Fumitory in the Mediterranean region. A spreading or scrambling plant.

Walls and hedgerows, rocky places and cultivated land.

Flowers

The individual flowers are creamy-white or pale pink with a reddish-black tip and a spur. The flower stalk has 5-20 flowers.

Leaves

Trifoliate with three leaflets. Leaves in threes, with wedge-shaped leaflets, deeply lobed.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: smooth, 25 mm.

Medical

Flowering part: tonic herb, improves liver and gall bladder function. Internally and externally used for skin complaints, externally for conjunctivitis.
