Description

A plant of dry habitats. Easily missed, growing in hedges and rough grassy areas.

Flowers

Small flowers are pinkish purple with 9-15 ray florets.

Leaves

Pinnatisect leaf is deeply lobed, almost to the central midrib, Linear narrow blade leaf, like grass. Basal leaves: lobes almost to central midrib.
Upper leaves: linear, lobed or serrated and slightly hairy beneath.

Achene: a cluster of 1-seeded, hairy fruit.
