Description

A plant that has been introduced into gardens as a ground cover plant. It has been used in erosion control, on banks and along roadsides, but has a tendency to smother existing plants.

Flowers

The flowers in clusters of 10-20 have long stalks, often in two colours, ranging from nearly white to purple.

Leaves

Pinnate row of leaflets on either side of the stem. 7-12 pairs of leaflets on either side of the stem, oblong-elliptical in shape.

Fruits Seeds

Pod: 4 angled, 3-8 oblong segments.
