Flowers

2 to 5 tiny flowers in stalked heads. The standard petal is sometimes brown veined.

Leaves

Spatulate broad end of the leaf tapers to the point of connection with the plant stem. Bluish-green, glaucous. Lower leaves single and spatulate; upper leaves triangular, variable in shape with the terminal leaf significantly larger.

Fruits Seeds

Pod: 20-60 mm, long and curved, ridged with 2-11 jointed segments. Seeds toxic.
