Description

The plant can be confused with Thymus vulgaris. Stems have a woody base. Dry habitats.

Flowers

Flowers are in dense whorls along the purple corolla tube. The individual flowers are star-shaped, with 3 long and 2 short petals. Colour varies, pink to violet.

Leaves

Linear narrow blade leaf, like grass. Numerous small narrow leaves, without stalks.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: round, 2 mm long.
