Pinnatisect leaf is deeply lobed, almost to the central midrib. On long stalks, lobed almost to central midrib, 5-20 cm long, 2.5-10 cm wide.

Silique: two fused carpels (female part of the flower), 30-90 mm long with 1-5 black or brown seeds, splitting open when mature.
