Description

This Cistus is usually found on acid soil, it grows along the coast and inland on the Plaine des Maures.

All parts of the plant produce a sticky resin.

Flowers

The flowers are 5-petalled, pure white with a yellow blotch at the base of each petal.

Leaves

Linear narrow blade leaf, like grass, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Opposite and stalkless, 5 cm long; pointed, wrinkly, hairy, glandular and sticky.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: with 10 compartments.
