Description
An orchid that grows in woodland as well as in wet meadows. It is smaller and has larger leaves than the ‘Narrow-leaved Helleborine’.
A tuberous perennial.
Flowers
An orchid with yellowish-white sepals and petals, the lip is short and yellow. Often, the flowers remain almost closed throughout the flowering period.
Leaves
Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle, Elliptic oval leaf. Oval, long, wider in the middle, pointed, alternately arranged on the stalk, dull green.
Fruits Seeds
Capsule: containing numerous small seeds.
