Description

A bellflower that grows on calcareous soil in open woodlands, dry grassland and road margins. The stems and leaves are hairy.

Flowers

The bell-shaped flowers are stalkless and clustered at the top of the stem.

Leaves

Cordate heart-shaped, Elliptic oval leaf, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Lower leaves: slightly heart-shaped to oval to long, pointed, serrated, with stalks.
Upper leaves: heart-shaped to long, pointed and serrated.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: releases seeds through small slits or pores.
