Description

An aromatic, evergreen shrub with erect stems. Under the cluster of flowers are the bracts.

Garrigue, rocky areas, roadsides; also cultivated in gardens. Very hardy.

Flowers

The cluster of flowers, up to 4 cm across, form a flat surface, rounded at the edges, greenish-yellow with 5-25 rays. Long lasting.

Leaves

Elliptic oval leaf, Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Oval, long, pointed, leathery, shiny, greenish-blue, 8 cm long.

Fruits Seeds

Schizocarp: a cluster of tiny oval capsules with narrowly winged ribs, 7-8 mm long, that split open when ripe.
