It looks very similar to the common northern European Daisy and the even smaller Annual Daisy, but it has a much longer stalk and the flowers are larger.

On grassy banks and fields, sunny position.

Flowers

The flowers have white ray florets tinged with pink, and yellow disk florets.

Leaves

Spatulate broad end of the leaf tapers to the point of connection with the plant stem. Basal rosette: broad end tapers to base, veined, serrated.

Achene: a cluster of dry, smooth 1-seeded fruit.

Leaves, petals and flower buds have a sour flavour.
