Description

A glandular hairy plant with pale yellow flowers. Squeezing the pouch, opens and closes the mouth of the flower, giving rise to the name ‘Snapdragon’.

Grows in sunny, rocky outcrops, in rough waste ground.

Flowers

The flowers are in tall spikes, 2-lipped, the lower lip has 2 deep yellow bulges near the opening of the mouth of the flower. At the base of the flower is a hairy pouch.

Leaves

Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Mid-green, long, wider in the middle, pointed, narrowing towards the tip.

Capsule: oval, hairy.
