Description

Resembles Anacamptis champagneuxii but Anacamptis morio subsp. picta (full name) has mauve spots on the lip.

Dry habitat, amongst taller shrubs.

Flowers

The lip is generally folded with 3 lobes, pink or purple. The central lobe is shorter than the lateral lobes and is white with mauve spots.

Leaves

Lanceolate leaf is lance-shaped: long and widest in the middle. Long, pointed with mauve spots, upper leaves hugging the stem.

Fruits Seeds

Capsule: containing several tiny seeds.
