Description

Also referred to as Alcea pallida. In France it only grows in the Bouches-du-Rhône and the Var. It is a protected plant.

The bracts are almost as long as the bud.

The plant grows in fields or at the side of the road.

Flowers

Flowers in a solitary raceme. It differs from other Alcea plants by its pale pink colour with a creamy centre.

Leaves

Cordate heart-shaped. Heart-shaped with softly rounded lobes.

Fruits Seeds

Schizocarp: a dry disk containing seeds that split into single seeded parts when ripe.
